See The Elephant is thrilled to have received a grant from the CA Creative Corps and City of Sacramento Arts & Culture to create a new project in 2024. We have partnered with YXplosion as our non-profit for this project.

As part of our community empowerment series, See The Elephant will create a performance that accurately and honestly portrays experiences of being queer / LGBTQIA+ in rural, small town Placerville. To that end, we will host gatherings of local LGBTQIA+ and allies to gather stories and experiences, painting an authentic picture of what it is like to be queer living in Placerville and El Dorado County.

In February, 2024 See The Elephant hosted a public gathering event for LGBTQIA+ & Allies in the Placerville area.

The Closer to Home Performance

Closer to Home will culminate in a public performance August 23-24 only in Placerville. Free tickets are available now.
